First check to make sure 9 volt battery
has power and is connected properly. Make sure the unit is
turned "on" by placing the ON/OFF switch to the
ON position. Open garage door fully and visually inspect the
magnetic sensors, making sure that they are attached firmly
and not hanging or falling off. Then make sure that when the
door is open fully the two parts of the magnetic sensor line
up. Some doors have "slack" in them and when the
door is opened it doesn't always stop in the same position.
For the Mind Ease unit to function properly the sensors must
line-up and be within ¼" of each other. If door
slack seems to be the problem we recommend you contact your
door operator manufacturer for instructions removing this
slack.
Now check the function of the magnetic switches
by un-connecting the two forked wires from the 40' wire
that are connected to the switch. Touch the two forks together
while the unit is ON. If the green LED lights up the wire
is fine but the magnetic switch may need replacement. If
the magnetic switches seem to be lining up properly and
the green light did not go on when you touched the two forks
together the problem may be the 40' wire. To check this
wire simply unplug it from the Mind Ease unit and inspect
by firmly holding the chrome tip of the connecter and unscrewing
the black plastic covering. Visually inspect that the wires
are attached to the chrome connector. If the wire and sensors
appear to be in good working condition please call us toll
free at 1-303-359-6064 for a replacement unit.
If unit times out and audio is one steady beep,
check wall button, possibly a wire in the wall button has
dislodged or broken (was not attached securely).
